– Step 1 –
Claim Submission
TABS utilizes Tebra as a preferred software vendor to handle all patient information and management of claims and will review all claims for accuracy before being billed. We connect with multiple clearinghouses to make sure your claims are delivered to insurances at the most successful rate. TABS has a 99.6% first-pass claims rate. Claims that reject due to no coverage or incorrect demographic information are immediately corrected or communicated to your office. TABS employees are on-site, U.S. based, and have stringent procedures in place. We typically handle 20,000+ claims per month for our providers.
– Step 2 –
Payor Response
Once TABS submits claims, most major insurances respond within 2-3 weeks of that submission. We will process and post all payments/non-payments, remittances, and EOBs within 24hrs of receipt. Your patients’ account ledgers will be up to date for your office to clearly identify the current status. A patient’s balance will be clear and easy to understand. If your office receives any paper checks or EOBs, you will send us a copy for posting. Any denials, unpaid claims or claims not paid correctly are handled by a claim’s specialist dedicated exclusively to your office. If we do not receive a response from insurances, your medical billing specialist will chase down every dollar you are owed!
– Step 3 –
Denial and A/R Management
If TABS does not have a response from an insurance claim we send, we will follow up. This is the main reason you hire TABS. Our job is to collect your money. Insurances are notorious for delaying, denying, losing, and not processing claims. We track the claim from start to finish. Your office will not have to check to see if claims were paid, denied, or outstanding. Your specialist will regularly run outstanding A/R reports and work on unpaid claims. If a service is denied, we will fight for payment on the service that you provided.

Patient Statement Management
If after insurance processes a claim and your patient then has a balance, TABS will send a statement. We send thousands of statements for all of our practices. We use the best and most up-to-date technology to collect patient payments. Statements are batched and sent via text, email, and paper. Our statements are clear and easy to understand. It is simple for your patients to pay online and we are very successful at collecting on the back end. All statements include TABS’ toll free number so patients can call us with any questions or submit a payment over the phone. If a patient has a question, our courteous, professional staff will take the phone call so you will not be bothered!
